Thoughts on that strategy? I haven't played with F&S much but it's something I kinda want to do. That way they're unloading into the enemy as they charge in, then can go to melee when the enemy hits. Any tips on that? I figured I'd go with Sweden for it, and I was thinking of making my pikemen unit Riflemen Mercs with Carbines and a pike or sword to switch to for CQB, then have my musketeer line behind that. (So, Condotteri, skipping Condotteri Soldiers and replacing them role wise with Musketeers/Grenadiers/Fulissiers). That is, lots and lots of Musketeers of various kinds, with cavalry being a more support unit. Though, something I've been considering trying in Fire & Sword: Build a Vinci style army. I was able to take out a pair of Reiters early-game with that when there were two in a Deserter group I fought - waited until they crashed into my party, shot them at close range. Well, for one you could come to a complete stop before firing and reload on the go, but that has its own problems.
